Burns can be caused by: radiation, steam, chemicals or electronic devices, etc. They are divided into three categories:
First grade
- The lesion is red and does not present blisters; the skin is dry and burning. Its depth is shallow and heals easily.
Second grade
- In this type of burns there are blisters and inflammation. The pain is greater and the inflammation spreads to other parts of the body.
Third degree
- It is the most serious type of burn, the three layers of skin are injured, as well as fatty tissue, muscle, nerves and blood vessels. The surface of the dermis is stiff, dry, whitish or black. Requires emergency medical attention.
