The augmentation of the labial region consists of increasing the volume of the lips by inserting natural or synthetic materials, thereby obtaining a more attractive and full shape. In turn, there are also surgical techniques with which an increase in the volume of the lips is achieved (prostheses made of synthetic materials), or the sensation of increase by altering the relationship of the upper lip with the nose.
The duration of the treatments is variable: the injection of liquid collagen is apparent for 8 weeks and in terms of autologous fat transplantation we have that the vast majority of patients report a decrease of up to 50% of the material injected at 3 to 6 months.
